ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING IN GOLD FRAME Antique Victorian unsigned painting, depicting winter night seascape with old mill on the background and figure in the boat under the moonlight. As you can see it is in rustic condition, what can you expect for an over 100 years old item, the paint show intensive crazing, w the craquelures cover the entire surface, darkening, several spots with flaked off paint, along with some older repairs, which are more noticeable from the back of the canvas w patches were applied. The painting, as well as its frame, was touched up, maybe not once, but wasn’t varnished and feels stable, not dry and would not flakes off. It has a lot of character appeal to some people and is ready for display, but I would list it as is, as pictured because it is an old, used item, so please carefully explore all the pictures and ask your questions before making decision to buy it – due to the cost of the shipping return will be costly.
