These are a really good pair of Victorian chairs. They date to around 1900 and are made in oak. They are heavily carved with carved masks, barley twist columns and wonderfully bulbous carved front legs terminating in original giant brass casters. These are very imposing chairs. The gold fabric is clean without rips or significant wear. The chairs are sturdy. The front legs of one chair have an old repair with metal brackets supporting the legs. See photo. Legs are rigid and the bracket is behind the leg so it is not seen. These are beautiful things. They would equally look good in a bedroom or in a principal room furnished in antiques. Each chair back is 43.5 inches high and the seats are 17 inches high and they are each 24 inches wide. If you are looking for a delivery do try Alternatively ring Rich on 07974144104 for a quote.
