You are bidding on an Antique GRAND Victorian Secretary Desk & Bookcase. This is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the late 19th Century Circa 1880 American made. This piece has 3 drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with beautiful shell carved and etched pull handles. The top has 2 glass doors which have beautifully arched floral fret work carved at the top. It has 2 shelves on the inside and the middle of the piece has a nicely raised door that folds down to a secretary desk with red velvet leather top with beautiful gold tooling around the edges in a floral pattern. The inside has plenty of large pigeon holes and letter slots with a drawer at the center. Each drawer and door has brass milled mortise locks (no key) and the top has a beautiful crown molding. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures. This makes for a beautiful accent piece because of its size that can be used in a hallway or foyer, living room, dining room, library, study and anyw else throughout your home. This was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 42 inches wide, 85 inches high and approx 19 1/4 inches deep.
