This is a beautiful antique Victorian circa 1890 sterling silver Scottish granite brooch. I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found. The lovely stones are grey granites from Aberdeen and pink granite from Kemney in Aberdeenshire. The brooch has no hallmarks which is fairly normal for pieces of this age and has been fully tested and is sterling silver. The length is 3.3 cm and the pin and C clasp are original and in good working condition.
