This is a superb antique Victorian Sterling Silver ladies Chatelaine complete with its clip and chain. The key-shaped pendant comes apart to store sewing needles. A pin has been added to the hanging loop (with a decorative silver shell) as an extra security measure. The chatelaine clip is wonderfully detailed with a floral wreath, a heart, and an anchor. The Key itself is a really nicely finished example, but is not hallmarked - the only marks are what appears to be '13' in a oval and 'IPO' also in an oval cartouche. One link of the chain has had a running repair with a link replaced by a tiny navy blue cord - it is secure enough, but not in its original condition (obviously). The overall condition is very good as shown in the photographs (some fine surface scratches and blemishes commensurate with age) so please view all pictures as they form part of the description.
