antique VICTORIAN WHITBY JET carved flower bracelet, the central panel is carved in the form of a flower and either side of this are two square pieces facet cut with raised centres the bracelet continues with a series of facet cut rectangular panels which create a bangle like shape. The piece is elasticated to fit and to allow for continuation of design there is a small hole carved in the panel at the back of the bracelet on the inside to conceal the knots in the threading (this can be seen on the second picture)size - elasticated to ease on and fit un-stretched 7.5 inches and 0.85 inch at its widest pointcondition - very good - there is a small chip near one threading hole on the central flower and a few small surface scratches, there is a very small nibble on the back of one of the square panels, otherwise excellent♥CONDITION: Unless otherwise stated all of my items are pre-loved, I endeavor to describe accurately and any flaws will be detailed. Unless otherwise stated, this item is in very good or better condition and this includes all stones / settings in place and fully working pins, clasps, etc.♥STYLE or PERIOD:Where I have indicated 'style' that refers to the design of the piece, shape, colour, use of materials etc. Where I have indicated 'period' that refers to the design and also to the construction and actual materials. For example an art deco style brooch may actually date from a later period, with a swivel on the pin etc, by contrast a 'period' art deco piece would be more likely to have a simple 'c' type clasp (and this would have the appearance of wire ie be rounded and not the clumsier chunky flat later examples). If you are unsure about my definitions or any aspect of a listing - please - ASK!
