The carvings appear to be both applied and carved from relief and Display very nicely. This piece was removed from an old Virginia Estate where there were several wood carved shore scenes mounted along the Chair Rail in the Dining Room. Sadly this is the only one that was Removed intact! This one is Estate Fresh & Guaranteed to Impress with light wear to the carvings & framework.
