Incredibly Lovely! This beautiful and hefty Princess style ring is a knockout! The glimmering 14 X 12mm genuine purple gemstone is surrounded by 16 genuine Pearls and set in an abundance of 10K gold. I tested the stone, it is genuine, but I cannot tell which gem it is, it tests an 8 in Mohs, which is the hardness of Topaz & Spinel. Not quite as hard as a sapphire which I thought it was. It is a beauty, to say the least and not just a piece of glass! The ring front measures 22.8 X 20.9 and weighs a whopping 11.3 grams! The ring is marked 10K & has the initials A+A inside a diamond shape. Some of the pearls are worn as you can see in the pix. You can tell it was worn often, really a great middle or index finger ring! It size measures 19.3mm diameter, size 9 3/8 US/ S 1/2 UK. People will look! Wish I could tell for certain which gem it is, just know it's a beauty! This item is part of a large Canadian Estate. Items date from late 1700's to mid 1900's.
