Selling as-is.Up for auction is one (1) antique/vintage "Tostwich" or "Toastwich," a combination toaster and electric sandwich maker. Also known as a "pie iron" or "tonka toaster."This item was invented by Charles V. Champion, Sr., before 1920, but was granted and registered a patent on March 3, 1925. Made by Catlin Manufacturing Company, Incorporated in Catlin, Illinois. Also stamped onto the top is "110V, 600W"The Tostwich has a two-prong open plug with cloth-covered wire, and is mounted to a wood base (oak) which also has a power switch and a light on it. Sandwich surfac earea is 6" x 6", and the appliance is 5" tall, 7 1/4" x 7 1/4". Floating hinge to accommodate different sandwich widths.Overall in good solid condition, particularly for its age, with a slightly frayed but intact cord. Untested.No international shipping.
