ALL OF MY ITEMS ARE FROM THE ESTATE OF A 96 YEAR OLD WOMAN SOI DON'T KNOW IF THEY COME FROM A PET FREE OR SMOKE FREE HOME.SHIPPING TO THE UNITED STATES ONLY. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPINGI am not positive what this item is. It was found in the home of a 96 year old woman who's house was passed down by her parents who were alive in the late 1800s. This is very old fabric depicting the American Flag with 42 stars but it is not exactly how the American Flag should look. The edges are not even and there are stripes above the stars and a stripe below the stars which is not the same size as the other stripes. I'm not sure if this was a misprint or used for some specific occasion, but you can tell it is old by the wood, nails, and thin material of the fabric which has no damage to it. It is one solid piece of fabric, not multiple pieces sewn together. This item is large, measuring 24 & " inches by 21 & ¾ inches. The American Flag with 42 stars would have only been represented from November 11 th , 1889 to July 3 rd ,1890 when Idaho became the 43 rd state. If anyone has any idea what this may be or what it's purpose was other than a misprinted flag, please let me knowPlease view all photos to get full description of the item.
