This auction is for a very old, very cute teddy bear, probably made by the Character Bear Company, or perhaps by Gund, but certainly is an American made bear. His shoebutton eyes with felt backings and black floss nose indicate he was probably made in the 1940s, but perhaps is an even earlier bear. He has tan colored mohair plush on his body, in clean condition, quite thick in most areas, with some minor loss on his tummy and to the tops of his legs. He has a small hole on his nose, but it is not leaking and should stay put as is for some time. Please see photo. He has the most adorable smile and with his round head and chunky limbs and body he is very endearing and special. He's 12" tall, so he can fit in just about anywhere in a bear collection.
