Up for consideration is this antique fainting couch. I really don't know the age of this couch, but it has been in our family for many years. This couch came from a great aunt in Wisconsin. It found a home thirty years ago in California. I am now the owner, and I do not have a place for it. It was made by the Acme Company in Chicago. It has a tag on the underside that calls this piece the "Acme Hygienic Couch" The couch that won't wear out. It was warranted for five years. It says the springs will never come through upholstered top. The wood frame on this couch has an old style design with claw like legs and old style wheels. This couch is 79 inches in length, 28 inches wide, at the foot it is 16 inches high and at the head (highest point) it is 24 inches high. At the raised head of this couch has a fan design in the wood. The upholstered couch has some wear marks at the bottom on the material, but is in overall good condition, no tears. The wood frame has some marks, but I have made no attempt to refinish or restore this couch. Underneath is has a webbing that holds the material (filling) securely in place. The color of the Upholstery is a golden brown. It is a leather- like material that has an embossed design. This item is available for pick-up only. I have no way to pack this item for delivery.
