Brenda and Sacha are two brocante-loving, fabric-addicts, two free spirits who decided to give working together a try. One on the left side of the big pond (United States) and the other on the right (France). We love hunting for long-gone-glory-day-items and making beautiful things with vintage fabrics. Sacha loves making perfect seams, Brenda just loves making it pretty. The perfect combination for the most beautiful shabby chic clothing and accessories from France and the United States. This listing is for One Antique Vintage French Monogram Linen Sheet Beautiful Edging Project Sheet This sheet is a center seamed sheet, with a wonderful border (scalloped edging) and a white monogram "MC". The monogram measures approx. 4.5" x 2.5" (11.5 cm x 6.5 cm). The sheet measures approx. 76" x 104" (1m93 x 2m64). It weighs approx. 56.44 ounces (1.600 grams) * The centerseam is typical for these sheets. Back in the 1800s the looms weren't any wider than 1m05, so if they wanted a wider sheet, they had to sew two pieces together. This was always hand-stitched.This sheet is in an awkward condition: it has been 'reprised'. Meaning: over the years they have cut off a piece here and added a bit there (people are quite 'economical' in my region...). So there are multiple "bits and pieces". There's one section that has quite some signs of wearing. Please have a look at the pictures to see what I mean.The scalloped edging is wonderful. The pulled thread section is damaged at a couple of places. Please see pictures. I have seen one stain in the upper right corner of the sheets (picture). For the rest I haven't seen any spots, stains or decolorations. I always try to be as thoroughly as possible on finding the flaws, but it's always possible for me to have overlooked something. This sheet is (over) a 100 years old. It has been used, it has been cherished. So any proof of that ads to the charm of it. :) *This is the perfect project sheet, for it wouldn't hurt too much to cut it.Of course it can be left as is and put to use as a wonderful time-worn and shabby rustic curtain. And probably a bit more when there are holidays or extended security measures. Shipping within Europe is mostly three days up to a week.
