Stunning Vintage Grape Harvest Basket European, Circa 1920 Very Good Condition Up for auction is a terrific vintage grape harvest basket that our consignor purchased at a County Fair about 20 years ago - she was told that this was a European basket made in the 1920s, but all our research cannot confirm or refute this. The basket does have the tell-tale residue of what would appear to be light blue/purple residue inside, and we could very well imagine someone picking grapes off the vines with the basket on their hip. The wooden basket measures about 17" long from the bottom feeet to the top of the handle (and by the way, t is only one handle, intentionally made that way), and 12" deep and 11-1/2" wide. The basket is very well made and has a little wear which makes the basket all that more appealing. See photos for more details. If you are a fan of antique baskets, you'll appreciate the fine size and Tuscany look of this beauty. Don't let it get away.
