Antique Early 1900's Hand Bobbin Lace & Mixed Needlework Tablecloth A lovely tablecloth even though it does have some damage. Still, all would be fixable. The hand bobbin lace tablecloth measures 34" square and consists of panels of cutwork embroidery and a darn net lace center. The edging lace measures 5" wide. The four outer cutwork panels are 6" square and are of linen. The panels between the cutwork corners are 5-3/4" wide x 11" long. The center darn net square is 11". A motif design of flora & scrolls. Even with the small amount of damage this is a very worthy cloth and came from a very wealthy estate. Condition...has not been laundered so you will find some slight oxidation. I counted 4 broken threads and believe with a stitch or two these areas could be easily be fixed. Two areas w the linen cloth is pulling away from the bobbin lace..again I think a few stitches would mend. (see photos of these areas). I think the cloth could be easily repaired ...you be the judge.
