Item Overview• Antique/Vintage item from the Southwest.• Material: Natural and dyed fibers• Only ships to United StatesItem DetailsA beautiful example of Native American Basket weaving art. Believe this to be of Navajo design and construction.Was purchased in the Western U.S. I do not know its dates, but it is believed to be at least 40 yrs old.Nice turquoise, red(mauve), black and natural geometric design. This hand coiled and hand woven basket is in excellent condition. Coiled baskets are made by taking thin strips of fibers, or grass and wrapping them into a bundle which is coiled around in a continuous spiral. Just look at these pastel colors and the details in this beautiful design.A great piece of Native American art. This deep bowl basket showcases the skill and artistry of the maker. This was a very talented basket-Weaver.Basket measures 11.5" in diameter and approximately 6.25" deep.This basket is absolutely gorgeous!Thank you for looking.
