What can you do with just one snowshoe? Well if hopping on one leg through the winter wilderness doesn't seem like a lot of fun, you could try a number of things to make a unique rustic addition to your winter décor. Tired of that same old wreath on the door every Christmas? Do what I do and take some balsam fir and ribbon, maybe a few cones and other Christmas accents, wire then to the snowshoe (as seen in one of the pictures below) and voila! You have a new and unique decoration for your front door. Martha Stewart eat your heart out!!! Want another idea? I'm a folk artist from Northern Maine and I use the snowshoes as picture frames for some of my paintings (again, see an example picture below). I cut out the center webbing, cut the painting to fit the snowshoe, and attach it from the back. You can do the same thing with a mirror. If you're handy with tools, you could make the snowshoe into an end table by adding some legs. How about adding a light fixture and using the snowshoe as backing for a really cool wall sconce? Just think outside the box and you can come with all sorts of ideas. If you are decorating a log cabin, woodsy camp, or even your house in the rustic lodge look/Adirondack style this is the unique addition that you need . NOW PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ACUTION IS FOR THE SNOWSHOE - NO DECORATIONS, GREENERY, RIBBON PAINTINGS, read more
