I will try to describe the lamp as best I can, to give you as complete a description possible so you know what you are buying. Lantern Description: ~The Lantern is approximately 15" tall and at the squared part of the back it is 6" wide. ~It has beautiful curved glass on the front which is chipped in two places, but it is hard to see the chips as it is a heavy ribbed glass and the chips are on/in ribs. The first chip the (largest chip) is located on the second rib from the bottom of the glass, in the center. The tiny chip is located on the rib directly above the larger chip. CARPENTER & COMPANY CHICAGO" ~The bottom base of the lamp that hinges open works fine, but there is a section that is rusty. (see photo). The latch mechanism is missing. When my sister gave it to me she put the chain on so I could close it securely. I used to burn pillar candles in it, which read more
