Up for auction is an elegant, high-end vintage marble, milkglass and brass boudoir table lamp probably made in the 1950's. The Cararra marble base is marked Italy and was probably imported by the US. lamp maker. The milkglass shade is gorgeous and early with deep pressed glass repeating circle and flower design. It is very thin so all the designs shows as light and dark white when lit creating a dramatic effect (see picture #3). Milkglass lamps create a mood and soft light that works in a number of situations. Most commonly used in a bedroom on a table, these are also great as hallway lamps and bathroom lights where you want to add a small soft light. Very elegant (shapely) old lamp in excellent working condition.Please note: There is a 1" chip in the rim that gets completely hidden inside the shade ring when set up (chip damage shown in picture #12). I don't box up an item until it is sold so actual shipping is determined after the sale. I am usually pretty close though. Most items ship USPS Parcel Post. If it fits in a Small, Medium or Large Flat Rate Box you will get it faster but it usually costs more. If it is a breakable item, expect that I am going to ship it in a larger than normal box to accommodate double boxing. All of my feedback issues (3 so far) have been caused by postal shipper problems. I can't make the Post Office do a better job. Insurance is now always included in the handling fee. If insurance is more than $5.00 I will pay the difference. I am not out to make a profit on postage in any way. If the postage seems high on an item, wait until after the sale and email me how you would like it shipped. I just want to get you your item safe. I hate when all this work doesn't end up in a positive sale.SHIPPING DAMAGE: I pack my items very well and 99.9% of the time the Post Office delivers properly but I have seen cases where the boxes have been crushed and no amount of reasonable packing would have saved the item. If your item is damaged in shipping, I know it is very disappointing but know that you will receive a refund. All of my items are insured so it is only a matter of time. Please know that I am very accessible via email and will be on the situation fast. Breakage is an unfortunate possibility. Please email me and we will get your money back ASAP. The easiest/cost effective thing to do is file a claim. Hold onto the item and the original packing as the Post Office my need to inspect. I will quickly file a claim with the Post Office to get the item funds and shipping/handling back to you ASAP. Twice I have received a refund in under two days. Ebay allows the buyer to file an "item not as described" claim which requires the the buyer ship back the item at their expense to get their money back. If you choose to do this, by Ebay's rules you have to ship back the item in its original packaging and box so that I can file a claim. I don't give partial refunds as I can't get my money back from the insurance. Negative Feedback: I have recently been given negative feedback by upset buyers who blamed their damaged items on my packing. I cannot stress enough that I pack well and have shipped MANY large and small fragile items successfully. Please take a moment to read through my positive feedbacks (530!!!). Please don't just Breakage happens and even though I offered full refunds sometimes you can't work through how upset people get.
