A really beautiful antique costume jewellery brooch. This gorgeous little brooch has a wonderful purple glass stone in the centre, which has been faceted to resemble amethyst, it is a really lovely colour. It is surrounded by several small pearls in a gold coloured setting. The hook and pin on the reverse work as they should. The brooch is in good condition, there are some surface mark to the glass, but luckily these can't be noticed unless looked at closely. The brooch comes in a stunning anique jewellery box, which is heart shaped. Some of the velvet on the outside of the box has been worn. On the inside of the box are the words; 'R.K.Robison, Jeweler & Optician, Issuer of Marriage Licenses, 958 College Street, Toronto.' The clasp of the box is set with a little mother of pearl button which works as it should. It is a really lovely special little brooch in a wonderful box.
