For Auction is this pair of Pine Toolmakers Cabinets made around 1900. Hard to be precise on the date as they have been in use in a workshop for many years and have been well used. However they are clearly well made from solid pine indicating an early date. Each drawer has been hand made, with pine including the backs and bottoms as you can see. Would have contained small hand tools, measuring equipment and various fixtures and fittings used by a Toolmaker in an Engineering workshop. These items are rare now as modern machining methods have replaced the art of Toolmaking, a pair is unusual to find They are in solid condition and there are no signs of woodworm. They can be used 'as is' or 'stripped and waxed' or re-painted. There are a couple of drawers missing as you can see, these can be remade easily. Simply add a blank panel, or alternatively, some of the drawers could be removed to make small shelves. Each one measures 14 inches high, 12 inches wide and 9 inches deep.
