Elegant and beautiful old Victorian Aquamarine & Silver Ring. The old ring is marked Sterling & Germany, other marks that I cannot make out. It is worn as you can see, but still lovely on the hand. The etching in the silver is marvelous! Tiny marcasite are mounted all around in the silver, but some of them are missing. Unusual silver rod hold the stone in place. The ring has not been cleaned. The ring measures a bit over 1 inch long (the beautifully cut stone itself measures nearly 3/4 inch) and 3/4 inch wide. Age is very apparent, but what a show piece! About a size 7- 71/2 This item is part of a large Canadian Estate. Items date from late 1700's to mid 1900's. The Estate owner was an experienced antique collector with an exceptional eye for fine and rare items. Please consider insuring your purchase, most cannot be replaced! Check out my other items !
