Nice collection of clean straight circa 1920's automotive / bicycle wrenches, all approximately 5" long. The first wrench on the right in lead photo is a "BARNES TOOL COMPANY DROP FORGED STEEL". Barnes Tool was located in New Haven CT. This one is 5 3/8" long, it is straight, has a straight handle, the jaws open to 1 1/4" and align nicely with minor wear to jaw edges. A very collectible small ajustable wrench. The center wrench in lead photo is a Charles E. Hall No. 1 and it is 5 1/2" long with a straight handle and retains most of it's nickel plating. There are nicks and wear around the jaws, jaw alignment is good some expected dings on the frame. Jaws open wide to about 1 3/4". The Charles E. Hall Co. of Buffal, N.Y., was named in 1907 having previously being named The Union Mfg. and Specialty Co. Also a very collectible wrench. The Pressed steel wrench wrench on the left in lead photo was patented August 2, 1921 and normally has the date stamped into the handle but this wrench was not stamped. The manufacturer is unkown to me. It measures 5 3/4" long and the jaws open to 1"In very good condition, no rust, jaw and adjusting nut work smoothly. There is some wear and minor dings but appears very good overall. Considered by others to be in limited supply. Thanks for looking, questions welcome. Start or add to your collection.
