** GREAT CONDITION ** OLD ANTIQUE VTG Ca 1950's LARGE 18" TWA AIRLINES ALPS RF MADE IN JAPAN TIN TOY AIRPLANE ** MORE PHOTO'S BELOW ** This offering is for an old vintage circa 1950's Trans World Airlines TWA Tin Litho Friction Toy Airplane. The plane is marked on the bottom "TRADEMARK ALPS MADE IN JAPAN" as well as having an RF in a Diamond Trademark. The airplane is a very nice larger size measuring 18" across the wings, tip to tip and is app. 17" in length from tip of the nose to the end of the tail. The condition of the airplane is outstanding as seen in our photo's both above and below. The plane is made of lithographed tin and is friction powered, when the plane is pushed along the floor the propellers are geared to turn. The surface is excellent with only very very minor wear and no rust. There may be a slight bit of fading to the Trans World Airlines letterig but thats the only notable flaw other than a few very small to scratches or rub marks. The props are metal and the plane separates into two parts so shipping will be safe and inexpensive. The airplane is quite scarce, doubly so in such great condition and it displays beautifully. Other than as described there are no dents, breaks, cracks or repairs and the airplane displays looks simply great on display.
