You are bidding on an antique flax/hemp wagon cover .This cover is at least 60 years old and possibly over 100 years old. These covers were hand woven by the farmers wives and families during the long cold European Winters and originate from all over Europe.They were used to hold down hay on the wagons and protect freshly harvested crops from rain. Also they would be draped over the wagons in winter to shield them from dust. These covers are not always available and we are lucky when we find them. We travel all over Europe on a monthly basis and have done so for the last 16 years. We get the opportunity to hand pick these wonderful unique linens from time gone by. We are possibly the biggest importer of this fabric into the USA . These covers have washed and dried .They are of the best value and quality on Ebay.
