Quote from appraisal " .......your piece is (actually) a Thuringian coffee pot in the style of 18th Century Meissen pieces.......Wallendorf's license for the production of porcelain was granted by Duke Franz Josias of Sachsen-Coburg in 1764, the early production included coffee, tea and cocoa sets...... In the current market comparable Thuringian coffee pots sell in the $500.00 - $800.00 range."The piece is in good condition, no cracks, crazing or repairs. Very light wear to the gilding which is still bright. There are two small side by side chips on the edge of the spout, each chip is just under 1/8"long. The knob on the lid which is shaped like a flower bud has a very shallow chip along one edge which is about 1/4" long. Gilding along edge of lid has one very slight chip, less than 1/16".
