A beautiful and rare antique Walter Crane nursery rhyme ceramic tile "Jack & Jill," manufactured by the Mosaic Tile Co. of Zanesville, Ohio in the early 20th century. The tile is in good condition with minor rim chips, flakes and fleabites scattered throughout the edges and corners, which have darkened from age. None of these are large. There are two long glaze craze lines in the upper right corner as per the images. These are not cracks in the ceramic, and do not go through to the back. Very superficial. The back is faintly embossed with the Mosaic mark. Please review the images. The tile measures 6 inches square.
