This is an "all matching parts" phone, thus making it a prized collectible while insuring that the item will increase in value through the years. Trading out parts was by far the norm with the Bell System, and it is more than unusual when you find a WE 302 w all the dates match on the dated parts. All such parts on this phone are dated from the first quarter of production, 1952. And to give this find the treatment it deserved, the phone was fully restored and is in excellent working condition.The moving parts were lightly oiled, and it was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned and polished. All the connections were cleaned and checked. As you can see from my picture gallery below, I take great pride in my antique restorations. Inside and out this classic wears a brilliant shine, from the porcelain dial plate to the thermoplastic housing and bakelite handset. As to the phone`s housing, t are no cracks, dents, serious scratches, or anything of the kind, just minor surface wear that is only visible upon close inspection under a strong light. Evidence of light wear is actually desired as it preserves the phone`s antique character. I also added a brand new, 10 ft.
