Up for auction is a very old Native American beaded leather pouch. Inside the opening flap of the pouch is written on a sticker, "Wichita." My guess is this pouch is attributed to the Wichita Indians, it is obviously Southern Plains. The pouch itself is made of super thin and soft (though water(?) damaged leather, my guess is tanned deer skin.) The super tiny, seed beads are all hand sewn to the pouch and it appears there are only a few missing. Most of the fringe is still intact ,There are flaps at the top on either side, one lifts to acess the pouch, the other is for decoration. Flaps closed and not counting fringe, the pouch measures 7inches long and 4 inches wide. Please check out all the photos and thanks for looking.
