He was the author of many radio books and the publisher of many magazines in the early days of radio. This course book was very popular...this is the 12th edition, updated, but still retaining a lot of information on spark gap and crystal sets. The pictures give you an idea of the contents. 264 pages hardcover, extensively illustrated. Very detailed information on building radio sets of the era, including home spark sets and crystal receivers.The book is tight and intact. Size is about 7 x 6 inches. Pages are 97% white, with the slightest indication of yellowing, very faint, almost not noticeable and largely at the outer edges of the page. Not dramatic. The cover printing is clear and dark (some copies are badly faded) and the embossed name of the publishing company at the bottom is intact. No musty smell. There is some soiling to the end pages, as is typical of a book from this era. There is a chip missing at the top of the spine and a small piece missing from the back cover (see last picture). A lot of fun to look through this book. Scanner casts shadows, but pages are 97% white.In better condition, this book sells for up to $100.00 USD.My opening bid reflects the read more
