ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: We have been advised by another eBayer that the 800 mark on the this piece is actually the pattern number and not the silver content. We are not experts, but reviewing other listings for identical pieces in both ongoing and completed auctions, we see it described both ways. We based our information on research done through Kovel's publications, but as we said, we are not experts and cannot say with certainty which it is. We can say that it is a lovely piece and a quality antique. We'll let you be the judge...janeandcharlie
