ANTIQUE WOOD TRANSITIONAL PLANE #26 by HSB & CO. REVONOC Discounted to sell. We know it's more valuable than the sale price, but would rather it go to a good home than sit around. 14 7/8” Long x 2 5/8” Wide – Stands 5 ¾” Tall – Weight 3.9 lbs. Marked #26 HSB & CO. REVONOC on the front wood surface. This unique wood plane by the Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company introduced Revonoc & Hibbard Brands in the early 1900’s. This plane has been in our family for many generations and is a prize for the collector. Hibbard, Spencer, & Bartlett CO. Chicago Illinois 1883-1983. They sold axes, cutlery, hatchets, knives, levels, plane irons and planes and many other items. The REV-O-NOC of mark was not used until sometime after 1900 when a man named Conover (REVONOC spelled backwards) became an officer in the company. Lamson & Goodnow (cutlery) and the Sandusky Tool Co.were two of their known suppliers.
