You are bidding on an antique treen sifter. One end is stenciled: Blood's Improved Sifter. Patented September 17th 1861. Sifts Flour, Meal, Squash, Apple, Pulverized Sugar, Whiting, Drugs, with great rapidity and ease. Family Use ever offered to Housekeepers. It has won its way to public favor solely by its own-spirits. It is easily adjusted to any Pan. Box, Firkin or Barrell, or maybe used upon a molding board and is operated without putting the hands into the material. Directions-Fill to the central rod and sift with a short quick stroke.
