Zenith also participated by designing this amazing tombstone radio which not only features the expected Zenith quality but also reflects the company’s show of patriotism. This is one you won‘t find very often……. Here we have a rare 1939 Zenith 6-S-330 ‘Long Distance’ Tombstone Radio. This stunning set features a spectacular bright black dial, highly desirable ‘Stars and Stripes’ escutcheon, fiery burl photo finish, split second tuning, pushbutton tuning, and superior performance on the AM broadcast and shortwave bands. Cabinet: The cabinet is simply stunning featuring a fiery burl photo finish. A black inlay runs across the bottom of the set complimented nicely by a dark walnut top. A large Art Deco grill not only looks great but allows for optimal sound from the speaker. All of this comes together amazingly with the large, bright, black dial surrounded by Zenith‘s rare ‘Stars and Stripes‘ escutcheon, which was only used on a couple of models.
