ANTIQUE WOODEN CRANBERRY SCOOP A.O. MAKEPEACE CO, MASS ANTIQUE WOODEN CRANBERRY SCOOP A.O. MAKEPEACE CO, WAREHAM MASS. This is a ANTIQUE WOODEN CRANBERRY SCOOP A.O. MAKEPEACE CO, WAREHAM MASS. This was from an old MA estate. This is a wonderful, well preserved and cared for Antique Wooden Cranberry Scoop. It has a paper label on the left side that says A.O. Makepeace Co, Wareham, Mass. A second paper label on the right hand side says :"To preserve alignment nd to insure best work always use toothholder when scoop is not in operation. Frequent oiling of the teeth is recommended." The left side and the right side is also stamped Makepeace. On the Left side it is also stamped 843 and on the right side it says ED 843. T are 24 teeth on this scoop and they are 18 inches long. These teeth are hand turned and they are held together with 2 metal rods with nuts on either end. This cranberry scoop is in perfect condition and has no breaks and repairs and is in all original condition. The wood appears to be hard wood, perhaps it is maple, but I am not able to determine the wood type. T is original red paint on both sides. T are 2 dowel handles that are 1 1/4 inches in diameter and 18 inches long. These are fastened with metal bolts and nuts. T is a tin bottom and the 2 side straps on each side are also tin. The wire mesh in the front is perfect.
