7 early wooden nesting eggs. Regular hen egg size. Great character to these wooden eggs that have worn spots and staining from the hen turning them. Great decorator pieces as these have a flat end which enables them to stand for a display. Nest eggs were put in the nests as the gatherer took a real one out. Generally on the farms many of the hens nested elsewhere than a chicken house and were working at getting a clutch of 12 or so for hatching a brood. This kept the hen laying longer to get the required amount of eggs for her clutch.Look the pictures over carefully, as our items are being sold as is, but guaranteed as described.
