FABULOUS ANTIQUE ENGLISH ? RUSH LIGHT CANDLE HOLDER TRIFEDWith heart/ leaf shaped drip tray with each trifed foot nailed / secured from the underlying strapwork system. The candleholder with flexible stem and rush holder secured to twisted main stem with hook finial for hanging. Has layers of encrustation and some residue of wax which am leaving as found for the collector. I dont know if this could be 18th c - it is in style but definitely19th if not. A charming example. I assume this is European, probably English as I have read that these were not really a style used in Colonial America unless brought over by an immigrant. H. 9 in. L. 5 1/4 in. Wt 9 ozinsurance included - thanks for bidding !
