ITEM: This is an antique Japanese 5th Class Order of the Rising Sun medal. We don't get a lot of these, in any condition so it is nice when they come in. The ribbon is worn but al t The enamelling is mostly in great shape, a few small spots of wear only. Front cabochon has small surface marking. The lacquered wood case is good with minor shelf wear. The winner will have a great old medal, it definateley has a lot of character. This medal was established by the Council of State Decree of April 10, 1875.
