Antique copperplate engraving titled WRESSLE CASTLE, YORKSHIRE - AS IT APPEARED BEFORE THE FIRE IN 1796, engraved by Matthews from a drawing by J.P.Neale based on a sketch by W.Savage for THE BEAUTIES OF ENGLAND AND WALES. This print was published by John Harris of St. Paul's Churchyard, London, on 1st May 1812. It is NOT a reproduction. We found the print, already hand-coloured & mounted, when searching through the stock of an antiquarian print shop that has been in storage since a member of our family closed the shop forty years ago.
