ENGEL (in script)STERLING - DENMARK Pin measures: 2" long X 1 1/4" wide Anton Michelsen company was incorporated into the GEORG JENSEN firm !!! Gertrud Engel was one of the better-known mid-century Danish women designers of silver jewelry. She worked mainly for Anton Michelsen company of Denmark, which is now incorporated into the Georg Jensen firm. .Michelsen also manufactured jewelry in Stockholm, Sweden under the name of MIC ( Michelsen's trademark in Sweden from 1946-1963). As Ginger Moro describes in her book, EUROPEAN DESIGNER JEWELRY, Engel worked from nature and based many of her designs on plant-life that she observed along the Danish coast.
