Antti Nurmesniemi Finel Coffeepot Arabia Finland -Indigo Blue Beautiful indigo blue Finel coffeepot percolator. The color is a beautiful medium blue and maybe a little light to be called indigo blue. Good condition with one small 1/16 diameter chip in the enamel on the top edge of the lid. It is not very noticeable as the material under the enamel is black. It took a close examination to find the chip. The coffeepot was designed in 1957 by the famous Finnish designer Antti Nurmesniemi. This coffeepot was produced by the Finel division of Arabia, Wartsila, Finland. I purchased the pot in the early 1960Â's T is glass dome insert to show the coffee perking, which is held in place with a black plastic ring. Some of the other Finel coffeepots I have seen on E-bay have had a plastic dome insert which discolor. We have used the pot quite a bit and t is considerable use wear on the bottom of the pot, but I did not find any chips t T is darkening of the aluminum coffee basket and perking stem. The dome retaining ring and handle show no chips or discoloration T are no designer marks or logo on the pot, but some identical coffeepots on E-bay do show the designerÂ's mark Â"FinelÂ" on the bottom and logo inside the lid. I found another similar coffeepot on E-bay which was marked with an original silver paper label on the top of the handle.
