1969 Apollo Moon Space Exploration Newspapers & Scrapbook This listing has two parts: a scrapbook of space travel and several newspapers with space travel headlines from 1969. Part 1: Scrapbook with Newspaper Clippings The scrapbook has several "pockets" filled with loose newspaper clippings from the space exploration and moon landing efforts during the warm days of July, 1969. Also included are a few cutouts from magazines and two complete issues of Life magazine, one a special edition from 1969 with the caption "To the Moon and Back" and the other has an interview with Norman Mailer about Apollo 11. All of the newspaper material is in very good condition, having been stored in the home made pockets for years, away from exposure. It does not look like it has seen the light of day since it was first put in the pockets. The magazines do suffer some corner and edge wear, but not abuse. They were stuck in the pages of the scrapbook. The clippings are from the Kansas City Star and Times. T are nine pockets of clippings, apparently divided into a daily chronical of the lunar mission. Also included is a "Special Space Report" newspaper section from The Kansas City Star dated October 5, 1969. It too has been stored away for years, suffering only minimal signs of aging. Part 2 (this has been added to what was in my ebay shop): Headline read more
