Apple IIe Platinum Computer-A2S2128-TESTED-WORKS The item you are viewing is a used Apple IIe Platinum computer , model # A2S2128. One (1) power cable is included, one (1) Apple Super Serial Card II comes installed in Slot #2, one (1) Apple UniDisk 5.25" Disk Controller is installed in Slot #6 but does not function properly and one (1) third-party 64K/80 column card is installed in the auxiliary slot which also does not function properly. The case is in great shape, has very little yellowing and all four rubber feet are present, however two of the back port covers are missing (see photo). Since the installed disk interface card doesn't function properly, the Apple IIe Platinum was tested using an older-style Apple Disk II Interface Card (not included) and an original Apple Disk II drive (also not included) and will successfully boot up from a disk (see screenshot). When tested with an Apple ProDOS system disk, only 64K RAM is reported (see screenshot) leading me to believe that the 64K/80 column expansion card is bad. The installed UniDisk disk controller will power on and spin up an attached drive, however the disk will never boot, which leads me to believe that this card is also bad. I have not tested the included Super Serial Card II however it does show up as installed when tested with the ProDOS system disk (see screenshot) read more
