Lot of approximately 400 vintage and antique celluloid, bakelite, vegetable ivory, and plastic buttons. A very wide variety of colors and designs. A few that stand out are two with silver inlays (next to the football players), a set of very old "UltraKraft" (upper right corner), hand-carved owl and butterfly design, about ten black "Goodyear" buttons, and a red bakelite button. Most of the lot is celluloid or vegetable ivory but I'm sure there are at least a few more bakelite buttons. There are some very small buttons (1/2 inch) and some large buttons (1 3/4 inches-2 inches). Most of them are medium (about 3/4 inch-1inch). They are in good condition. A few of the older ones are a little worn and the four black "cameos" in the top row are missing the shanks (they appeared to have been glued on at one point). Almost all of the buttons have self-shanks.
