This is a stunning... tall...stately... Aqua Blue Glass Vase. This beauty stands an impressive 10 inches tall... 4-¼ inches across at the top... and 4 inches across the broad base. This nice wide base... with it’s elegant “Star Burst” underside... is designed to support the largest of bouquets... without being “tipsy”!!!... I believe this pattern was called... “Fan and File”... or “Fans and Files”... but I’ve also heard collectors refer to is as the “Zipper” pattern. It is unmarked as to maker... and to date I’ve not been able to come up with positive information as to who the maker might have been... who introduced this pattern... or when. So... this stunning beauty will remain... like with so many other outstanding pieces of glassware over the years... unidentified!!!... From that hand formed top rim... to the broad stable base... and all of the artistry that lays between those two point... I would say it’s going to require a pretty spectacular bouquet of flowers... to keep a viewer’s eyes on the flowers... and off this unbelievable piece of art glass!!!...
