Arabia of Finland ANEMONE BLUE Mug and Saucer, No Reserve! We're happy to offer a number of wonderful vintage 1980's pieces of Arabia's ANEMONE-BLUE pattern, first produced in 1971, and discontinued in 1996. We're splitting up the set as usual and selling pieces individually or in pairs, so you can add as many or as few pieces as you like to your Anemone Blue set. This entire set is in EXCELLENT condition, and although used, has no heavy utensil marks or other usage damage. The ARABIA company has been around since 1874 - first a "daughter" company of the famous Rörstrand Pottery, then in 1880 they became a "Limited Company". They expanded their line during the next 25 years, using the talents of noted Finnish designers, and their collection was awarded a gold medal at the Paris World Fair in 1900. In 1916, Rörstrand sold their share of the Arabia company to Finnish buyers. Still today, after 130 years, Arabia of Finland is producing cutting edge and distinctive designs and is one of the most highly esteemed companies in the region. This auction is for Coffee Mug and Saucer in this great pattern. The mug is 3.5" tall, and 3.25" wide at the rim. The saucer is 5.625" in diameter.
