Lady in red skirt riding aside on a white horse with grey hound running beside. 11x13 total size, 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 print size professionally framed with covered back and hanging wire. lovely ornate frame. weight is 2 pounds. Alfred Dedreux (or de Dreux) was born in 1810 in France. He had a successful career as an equestrian portraitist for over 30 years. He was killed in 1860 in a duel that resulted from a dispute over a painting of Napolean III he had been commissioned to paint. This print is from the estate of Linda Bowlby, longtime sidesaddle enthusiast and president of American Sidesaddle Association.
