RARE Very Nice working condition, Argus A, Bakelite Camera made from 1936 to 1941 Serial #44409: Has incredible extention tube that can be twisted to add length. Picture #3, 4, 5, 10, 11 Focus Type: 2 Position (6ft - 12ft and 12ft - Infinity, later 6ft - 18ft and 18ft - Infinity) Years Manufactured: 1936 - 1941 Shutter Type: Pre-war II, ILex Precise Lens Speed: f/4.5 anastigmat Aperture Settings: f/4.5, 5.6, 8, 11 Shutter Speeds :1/200th sec, 1/100, 1/50, 1/25, B(ulb), T(imeExtinction Flash Synch Tubes: No Pressure Plate: Fixed this is a solid bakelite no cracks in case, very light wear . The lens looks very good (pic #1), light wear. Shutter works quickly, picture 7 &9 shows shutter working This is a recent find and the Camera is an Excellent looking camera but has some light oxidation (Pic #5) to knobs few light scratches on back plate pic #2. This is very early 35mm made in the USA and according to Camerapedia, this was the first mass produced 35mm in the US and very popular. Sold AS IS : to be used primarily as a shelf display camera or a very good addition for your collection. Need more pictures let me know. Have not tested camera with film but all functions seem to work OK. Camera has no wear to lens as shown, looks clean no fungus. Seems to have no missing parts or major nicks to bakelite case.
