Welcome to my listing for my Aria Electro Acoustic Bass. AMB 50B -5 This is for the very rare 5 string version; they do not come up very often at all; one just like this went for £250 S/h last year without the case!!I had used a four string Applause for a number of years to mess around with at home. So I decided to try a five string, but dammit suddenly the slow but steady stream dried up for about 7 months, yes. Nothing. So I bought this one new, and it's really good, but my heart was set on an Ovation which eventually came up and so I do not use this any more. This is a excelllent mid range electro acoustic bass. Is has a warmer sound than the Ovation but its shallow bowl means it is quieter if not put through an amp. When put through an amp it holds the nice warm thwack more in line with an acoustic bass. If you want to play with the tone then that can be done with the three band Eq. I have usually played it with the tone a bit flattened off. It has never been gigged. It will have a new battery for the Eq. This is a good bass if you do not want to plug in just to pick up and play at home (it doesn't irritate the neighbours), or for that more acoustic sounding "unplugged" low level gig.
