NEW IN THE BOX Aristo-Craft 86201 Aristo Classic Wood Reefer -- Denver & Rio Grande Western Aristo-Craft's Wood Refrigerator or "Reefer" cars are based upon a freight railcar of the late 1890's to early 1900's era originally used by the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad on its narrow gauge rail lines in Colorado and New Mexico. Used primarily in the transportation of perishable food items such as meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables, Wood Reefers relied on heavy blocks of ice to keep their cargo fresh.
